Once you've worked up an appetite, either by land or by sea, be sure to visit one of our local restaurants for a true taste of Carteret County. From fresh seafood caught right out our back door to delicious steaks and regional fare, Morehead City is sure to offer something to tickle your tastebuds.
After dinner, be sure to take a stroll down our famous "Waterfront." There you can watch local charter boats bring in their catches of the day, shop for nautical treasures, and treat the family to ice cream (if you have room for it!) After the kiddies have been tucked in, you'll want to return to the "Waterfront" to take advantage of the fabulous nightlife in a laid-back, coastal setting. Listen to local and national bands while enjoying a cold beverage and the beautiful views of Bogue Sound at night.
