Martin Robinson made his debut racing appearance in the P1 SuperStock Championship in Plymouth 2013, having only just passed his RYA licence to become a navigator two days prior. In his debut season, he gained a 2nd place podium finish on his first event, helping Nick Williams secure 4th in the overall Championship in the Oval Boat, only narrowly missing 3rd place by 3 points due to a kill-cord issue.
Despite being a Risk Consultant by trade, Martin said when Nick asked if he wanted to be his navigator for 2013 he said "The benefits far out weigh the risks, I just had to seize the opportunity and get involved."
Since then, Martin has gone on to secure a Championship 2nd place position in 2014 with IFX Racing and win the overall Championship, alongside Nick, with Flying Panther in 2015.
In 2016, he navigated for Pickfords Racing, alongside the wily David Toozs-Hobson, but mechanical troubles hampered their chances of winning the title.
Racing alongside the king of off roading, CS Santosh, he'll be add the biggest prize in powerboat racing to his trophy cabinet at the NEXA P1 Powerboat Indian Grand Prix of the Seas.
