Saturday 27 August, Cowes - Popular P1 SuperStock Championship racer Shelley Jory-Leigh brought her ‘H20’ radio show to YachtHaven in Cowes yesterday evening (Friday, 26 August) with a special live broadcast from the heart ofthe race pits - kicking off the penultimate event of the 2011 season in great style.
Shelley, who pilots the Helvetia Wealth P1 250 Panther boat in P1 SuperStock, is aiming for a strongweekend on the Isle of Wight and her hour-long broadcast on BBC Radio Solent gave the championshipsome fantastic promotion ahead of, what is expected to be, possibly the best event of the year.
Although the competitors won’t be in fully competitive action until the Cowes-Poole-Cowes offshore raceon Sunday, 28 August, race goers and the general public as a whole in Cowes will be able to see thestars of P1 SuperStock venturing out for practice at 11.15 this morning, Saturday, 27 August.
