Typhoo at the 2012 Liverpool Food and Drink Festival
Visitors where greeted by the presence of the Team Typhoo powerboat currently lying second place in the P1 SuperStock UK Championship which concludes in Weymouth on September 15th and 16th. The sleek Panther race boat was undoubtedly a highlight of the festival with children & adults alike clambering up the steps to have a peek inside.
On Saturday the Typhoo team added a further sporting element, with two St Helens rugby league players making an appearance. Paul Clough & Tom Makinson signed autographs and were available for photographs with fans before rolling their sleeves up and serving Typhoo cuppas to the queue of tea-thirsty visitors.
Throughout the busy weekend Typhoo collected donations for the English Federation of Disability Sport, a charity which promotes inclusion and equality in sport for disabled people . Thanks to the crowd’s generosity over £850 was raised.
Cardinal Racing’s Logistics Manager, Phil Taylor was on hand over the weekend to manage the event, answer questions on the P1 SuperStock series and arrange photographs in and around the boat.
So, a great weekend was had by all with everybody agreeing, you only get an 00 with Typhoo.
