Mike Lovell was a great man and very special to me. I am so glad and honoured that he chose to spend the most recent 4 years of his life with me. We had many firsts including having our own house together, his first ever holiday abroad and a lot of memories I will forever cherish.
I am devastated that such a great person has been taken from us so soon.
Condolences to family & friends.

My Lover,

All my love, you'll forever be in my heart xxxxxx

Today a little butterfly flew by me.
I thought to myself where have you been little butterfly.
You come into this world as a cocoon all by yourself and blossom into
this beautiful butterfly and fly off to see the world.

What you dont realize little butterfly as you flutter through your days
is how you touch those around you in your soft gentle way.
You dont even realize the wonder and awe you create around you.
He fluttered his wings toward me as if he was waving good-by as he
headed towards the horizon.

He looked very happy and content as he went on his way, as if to say
to me Dont worry Ill be okay.
I was sad to see him go for he had touched my heart in such a way that
I knew my life would never be the same.
He had left an imprint of all the beauty life has to offer.

I knew I would be a better person all because this little butterfly flew by
me one bright sunny day.

Its really sad that it takes something like this for people to realise just how much people mean to them.
Mike was the most genuinely nice person i've ever had the honour of knowing. It was really hard to start this message without being selfish and writing about how i feel. I think its because i cant put into words how much of a great man Mike was.
Great memories are something i am lucky enough to keep. My heart goes out to Tracey, Mark, Matty Mathew, Kate Caitlin and Lexy. I can't imagine the pain your all feeling, my sympathies are with you all at this difficult time.
Please take comfort in knowing just how much he touched peoples lives, and what truely talented and generous person Mike was. Mike has a place in everyone's heart.

We at GDS have worked with Mike and Brookspeed for nearly 2 years. Mike was one of the most welcoming people I have met. He was friendly, enthusiastic, full of energy, and a real team player who lived life to the full.
He was a work mate, team mate, and best mate to many people. He was a real credit to his family. Mike will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

No words can express the deep sorrow we feel. I got to know Mike very well right at the start of the season when we worked together preparing our boats in readiness for the first event at Plymouth. He was always there with his cheerful and enthusiastic approach, always first to lend a hand and would never leave until he was sure you had everything you needed to finish the job. His technical skill and knowledge was invaluable and he had the special ability, allied to industry, intelligence, kindness and generosity, to lift your spirits and brighten your day, no matter what challenges we might face. He will be sadly missed.

Our sincere thoughts and condolences to Mike's family and friends - John Wilson and all at Pertemps
